I did it again. I am still crazy for the last lens I bought, 70-200 mm, but was obsessed about getting one more piece of lens – Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II. Took some photos at a garden party, and once again, I loved my new purchase. I had had no idea my camera had it in it – very bright and clear images even when it had seemed too shady for me.

However, I had been accustomed to having some focal length regulators on the barrel to play with, that I had on the two lenses I had so far, so for some moments I felt rather paralyzed when form old habit I reached out for the zoom ring and there was none to be found. But f1.8 is indeed worth the lack of an extra ring.
