Ever since meeting Tim in March he has been one of my obsessions for a photo shoot. It took over half a year for it to work out and finally, in November we got to hang out together on Gran Canaria.
Tim really was the true spirit of our journey. I think the only few moments when his smile was not shining were the ones I caught on the photos. His everlasting joyfulness and contagious happy laughter entertained us throughout the great vacation.
I am not sure what exactly was going on when I was working on the next photo, maybe it was a bad day at work, maybe a sad movie on tv, maybe just emotional over something, but when I had the photo on full screen and looked into those eyes, my eyes got all wet.
These entangled dry branches were by the pathway that we passed every day on the way to beach. One of the days I asked Tim to take off most of his clothes and told him to pose on the branches. After trying few pics with the swimsuit, I was not quite pleased about the composition, so I gave it a try and asked whether there is any chance he would agree to throw away the shorts too. Now, think of the shy guy who did not dare to take off his swimsuit even at the nude beach. Imagine my surprise as I watched him quickly taking off the shorts without any complaint!
Actually, in time he did start to whisper some complaints, “People are watching”, and there was something about being painful to sit on the branches. I did not understand his complaints about the branches, they looked all nice and comfortable for me from the distance, ..until I tried to pose on them myself (check out those pics).
Thank You for the great company, dear Tim!
