Photography. I think my hobby #1. I have been playing with cameras since I was a child living countryside and spending days taking black and white photos of our animals from all possible angles. I turned my room into darkroom and developed the photos myself. As my sister recently noted, I likely had more cameras than she had dolls. After I lost my old camera Zenit E in Malaysia, it took few years before I bought myself a new real camera and continued indulging my desire for photography.

Photography equipment. To start up, in November 2005 I bought a SLR digital camera Canon EOS 350D with Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. After few months, in May 2006 I left a photo store with Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM telephoto zoom lens. In a month got cravings again and this time bought much cheaper Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 lens. Meanwhile I got Hoya’s circular polarising filters for two of my lenses. November 2007 I finally ordered Canon Speedlite 580EX II flash unit that I had been drooling over for few months after it had been released.
